چکیده

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), invasive or non-invasive, have projected unparalleled vision and promise for assisting patients in need to better their interaction with the surroundings. Inspired by BCI-based rehabilitation technologies nerve-system impairments amputation, we propose an electromagnetic brain-computer-metasurface (EBCM) paradigm, regulated human's cognition brain signals directly non-invasively. We experimentally show that our EBCM platform can translate mind from evoked potentials of P300-based electroencephalography digital coding information domain non-invasively, which be further processed transported metasurface automated wireless fashions. Directly communications human minds are performed between two operators accurate text transmissions. Moreover, several other proof-of-concept mind-control schemes presented using same platform, exhibiting flexibly-customized capabilities processing synthesis like visual-beam scanning, wave modulations, pattern encoding.

Brain-Computer Interfaces - Applying our Minds to Human-Computer Interaction

Recent advances in cognitive neuroscience and brain imaging technologies provide us with the unprecedented ability to interface directly with activity in the human brain. Beyond traditional neuroscience work, researchers have begun to explore brain imaging as a novel input mechanism. This work has largely been targeted at allowing users to bypass the need for motor movement and to directly cont...

Methods Towards Invasive Human Brain Computer Interfaces

During the last ten years there has been growing interest in the development of Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs). The field has mainly been driven by the needs of completely paralyzed patients to communicate. With a few exceptions, most human BCIs are based on extracranial electroencephalography (EEG). However, reported bit rates are still low. One reason for this is the low signal-to-noise rat...

Non-Invasive EEG Based Wireless Brain Computer Interface for Safety Applications Using Embedded Systems

Frequent accidents are commonly hitting the headlines nowadays due to the moment that the driver is careless. Mostly the accidents are common during night time due to the drowsiness of the driver. Adopting this as a major issue the evaluation of Brain Computer Interface technology leads to develop a drowsiness detecting system based on EEG signals. The main objective of this project is to devel...

Catch a Breath: Non-invasive Respiration Rate Monitoring via Wireless Communication

Radio signals are sensitive to changes in the environment, which for example is reflected on the received signal strength (RSS) measurements of low-cost wireless devices. This information has been used effectively in the past years e.g. in device-free localization and tracking. Recent literature has also shown that the fading information of the wireless channel can be exploited to estimate the ...
